Hiriyur police have solved a murder case with the help of a peice of paper found in the pocket of a half-burnt body.
Sakkaregrama villagers had found a body on June 4 near Abbinahole in the taluk.
The police found a peice of paper in the pocket of the body, which had a mobile number.
With the help of the number the police identified the body as that of Siddaraju (26) of Malavalli taluk, who was working in Cauvery Gas Agency in Bangalore.
Siddaraju had an illicit relationship with his collegue Satish’s wife. Satish belongs to Dharmapura in Hiriyur.
On searching for Satish police found him absconding.
Police arrested Satish and his accomplice Rakesh on Thursday morning.
The police have also recovered the car used in the murder.
The arrested have confessed to the crime.
They were produced before the JMFC court and have been remanded to judicial custody.
