Circular on Jamma Bane landProtest withdrawal after assurance

Various organisations extended their support to Kodagu bundh call given by Jamma Bane Hakku Samrakshana Horata Samithi on July 2. However, the meet also decided to withdraw the bundh in case the authorities concerned gave an assurance to withdraw the circular.
Delineating on the circular issued by Revenue Department Principal Secretary Jamdar, former MLA A K Subbaiah opined that the problem may be solved only if the authorities concerned withraw the circular. He also suggested that only united efforts can succeed in forcing the government to withdraw its circular.
Though BJP district unit President Anil Subramani and JD(S) district unit President V P Aiyyappa assured to hold talks with the chief minister and appealed to the protesters to postpone the bundh call, Mr Subbaiah said that there were 17 more days for July 2. In case, the circular is withdrawn, the bundh will be dropped, he assured and added that the Samithi will consider the postponement of bundh in case the chief minister assures to withdraw the circular.
Former minister M M Nanaiah, District Congress President Veena Acchhaiah, Mr Anantharam, T M Nanaiah, Akhila Kodava Samaja President Mathanda Monnappa, Sarvajanika Hitharakshana Samithi President Kattimandaiah, Virajpet Kodava Samaja President Nayada Vasu Nanjappa, Bane Hakku Samrakshana Horata Samithi President J A Karumbaiah, Neravanda Umesh,  C A Nanda Subbaiah and Advocate M K Poovaiah were present.
