Three new PG courses in St Aloysius
Mangalore, DHNS:

   St Aloysius College is offering three new post-graduate courses in the current academic year. They are MSc in Holistic and Psychological Counselling, MSc in Analytical Chemistry and MSc in Software Technology.
   The Holistic and Psychological Counselling course is aimed at training psychological counsellors. Intense training in counselling skills, training to integrate counselling theories into practice, training in psychological tests, on job training and opportunities for further research are the salient features of the course. The candidates should have completed BA/BSc in psychology, BSW/BEd or any other discipline with psychology as one of the subjects at the undergraduate level. According to a press release, the students will have an opportunity to be absorbed in schools, hospitals, collges and corporate sector as counsellors.
   The Analytical Chemistry course has an intake of 30 students. The students will be taught organic, inorganic and physical chemistry in the first year, wheras, only analytical chemistry will be taught in the second year. According to the release, the course offers ample job opportunities in industries, research and teaching. The MSc in Software Technology course deals with advanced topics in Computer Science which will be helpful for the students to get entry level jobs as well as to continue research in IT field. Students who have studied Computer Science in BSc or BCA students can join this course.
   The course is affiliated to Mangalore University. For more details contact the college office.
