Two persons were killed on the spot when the mobike in which they were travelling hit a lorry on NH 17 near ABCO steel at Ambalpady in Udupi on Sunday.

According to police, the deceased have been identified as Faizal and pillion rider Imthiyaz. The mishap occurred as the lorry driver had parked the lorry without any signal or indicator. Owing to the insufficient light, mobike rider unknowingly dashed against the lorry. A case has been registered.

A mobike rider killed on the spot and the pillion rider suffered serious injuries in a bike - truck collision at Thalapady near Puttur on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Latheef (33) and injured is Aboobakker (33). The truck was plying towards Bettampady from Puttur when the head-on collision took place.
Puttur police have registered a case.
