Congress Must Probe Their Failings

Union Commerce Minister Morarji Desai addressing Congress workers here tonight called upon them “to learn to work together” and “to recognise their fundamental weaknesses, find out remedies and apply them without fear,” otherwise whatever they did would be of no avail. Mr Morarji Desai prefaced his speech expressing his pleasure at the progress the Mysore Pradesh Congress had made.

Palestinian Forces Open Fire
Tel Aviv, June 17.
Palestinian forces opened up with a heavy barrage of rocket fire against Israeli troops near Beirut airport as the latest West Asian crisis sparked off by Israel’s invasion of Labanon went into its 12th day today, a military spokesman here said. Earlier, the official Lebanese Radio said in reports unconfirmed by other sources that Israeli troops had gained a foothold on the campus of the Beirut University School of Science, the last Palestinian position in the area south of the capital.
