Celebrating 60 years of freedom
Bangalore, DHNS:

'Namma India @ 60' - a 60-day celebration to commemorate 60 years of Independence, began on Sunday in Bangalore. This 60-day event will cover 60 schools with 60,000 students participating in various activities.

Addressing students, Ramachandre Gowda, Minister for Science and Technology provided a panoramic view of India’s freedom struggle.

The pledge to be taken daily by students in all the 60 schools during the school assembly was read by Dhananjay Kumar, former Union Minister.

Eminent Gandhian H S Doreswamy and former Olympian Eric Prabhakar were felicitated on the occasion.
