Expert Management Of Industries Urged
Bangalore, June 18.
A plea for effective economy measures in administration was entered in the State Legislative Assembly today during the general discussion on the Budget proposals.
Mr U M Madappa (PSP) suggested that the management of Government industries should be vested in a Board of Management consisting of persons of experience in industry.
Taxes Make Wealth More Productive

Mr T T Krishnamachari, the Union Finance Minister, asked the business community to join hands with Government in a co-operative effort to take the country forward. He was speaking to a deputation of the business community, led by Mr Babulal M Chinai, President of the FICCI.

Gokak Report: Final Decision On Monday
Bangalore, June 18.
A final decision effecting a revision in the Government’s order on the Gokak Report will be taken on Monday, when a resolution on the Government’s stand on the report will be brought before the Assembly. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting Chief Minister Gundu Rao held with the Opposition leaders on the issue. The meeting, discussed threadbare some of the formulae offered by the legislators.
