Bangalore, DH News Service:

The court trying the Pratibha murder case will hear the case on a day-to-day basis between July 19 to July 28. Judge Deshapande who called out the case on Monday fixed the date of the trial to July 19.

Hearing on the the Pratibha murder case commenced in January and at that the matter was being heard by judge, Sukanya.

The court had examined over 30 witnesses in the case till Ms Sukanya was transferred.

Following her  transfer, the Mr Deshpande was posted as the judge to try this case.

Pavan moves court
Mr Pavan Shetty, Pratibha’s husband, has moved the Karnataka High Court  seeking a direction to continue the earlier judge, who was hearing the trial of Prathiba’s murder case.

Mr Shetty, in his petition, has sought a direction from the High Court to continue judge Sukanya who was transferred.

He claimed that the change of the judge at a stage when more than 50 per cent of the trial of the case was completed would delay the trial.
