Ike Willing To Suspend A-Tests
Wasington, June 19.
President Eisenhower said today the U.S. wuld be ready to make some satisfactory arrangement for the temporary suspension of nuclear tests while striving for a permanent arrangement.
The President also told his press conference that the latest Soviet disarmament proposals deserved the most earnest and sympathetic study.
He said untill more details were known of the Soviet proposals, he would not comment on them.
Mysore To Have Warehousing Corpn
Bangalore, June 19.
An important decision of the Mysore Government to associate responsible non-officials at the helm of co-operative institutions was revealed at the conclusion of a meeting of Dr Punjab Rao Deshmukh, Union Minister for Co-operation, and Mr S Nijalingappa, Chief Minister.

Raichur Plant First Stage By Jan 84

Bangalore, June 19.

The first stage of the Raichur thermal power project is scheduled to be commissioned by January 1984, Minister of State for Power G H Aswatha Reddy said. He told the State Assembly that the first stage envisaged installation of two units of 210 Mega Watts each. One unit was expected to be commissioned by January 1984 and the other by July 1984.
