Rotary’s mite
Rotary Bangalore, J P Nagar, is offering equipment to Samatvam Asha Diabetes Centre, Bangalore under the matching grant project of Rotary International, in association with Rotary Minneapolis University, USA. Medical Education Minister  V S Acharya will inaugurate the centre on June 24 at 11.30 am.
This will be followed by a week-long free medical check-up and health education camp - ‘Stop Diabetes - 2007’ - at the centre premises.

Strand Book festival
Strand Book Stall is holding a 10-day, mid-annual book festival from June 22 to July 1 from 10 am to 8.30 pm at Basava Bhavan, near Chalukya Hotel. Upto 80 per cent off on books can be availed of, in various categories including fiction, literature, management, self-help, history, philosophy, science, art, design, architecture, reference, fitness, travel, cookery, crafts and children's books.

One more Bescom kiosk
Bescom has added one more `Any Time Payment’ kiosk at O&M section, 1st Main, 8th Block, 41st Cross, Jayanagar on June 20. Customers from Jayanagar 4th, 5th, 7th and 8th Blocks and surrounding areas can use this ATP to pay bills. It is designed for collection of payment from customers by cash, cheque/demand draft.
