CARD SWIPED TWICE
She buys less, pays more!

She bought goods worth Rs 1,075, but ended up paying Rs 10,775 plus Rs 1,075.

Sandra Sridhar, a software engineer from OMBR Layout, purchased goods at the Food World outlet in Kalyan Nagar III Block.

According to the complaint, Sandra purchased groceries and other items worth Rs 1,075  and gave a debit card. The counter girl swiped the card and handed over the bill for signature. After some time, the girl took back the card stating that the machine had taken Rs 10,775 instead of Rs 1,075.  “We will correct it after closing the account for the day”, she had promised.

Petrol bunk looted
A three-member gang looted a petrol bunk of Rs 62,000 on Ring Road in Kumaraswamy Layout police limits, on Tuesday night. According to the police, the three unidentified persons came in a car and barged into the cash counter of Arunoday Service Centre. 

Pump employees Rahmat Ullah and Kiran, assaulted by the Kannada-speaking assailants, were admitted to a private hospital. They were stated to be out of danger.

Husband held
In yet another incident of dowry death, the body of Anuradha, a 22-year-old homemaker, was found hanging at her Ist Main, ‘E’ Cross, Hosaguddadahalli residence in Byatarayanapura police station limits, on Wednesday night. Anuradha got married to Naveen Kumar, a welding unit employee, 16 months back, His parents, Bhanumati and Kuppuswamy, had continuously harassed Anuradha to bring more dowry.
