Kodagu Gowda Vidya Sangha will give scholarships to the economically backward high school and PUC students in the district belonging to Gowda community, said Sangha President Hosur Ramesh Joyappa.
Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday, he said the deserving students could apply for the scholarship within July 10, which should be recommended by any one of the directors or office-bearers of the Sangha.
Top scorers in SSLC, PUC and degree classes belonging to Gowda community will get financial assistance, who should apply within July 20 with the copies of their marks cards, he added.
This apart, students who scored the highest in Medical, Engineering and Post-graduate courses, and those who achieved good feats in sports, art and cultural fields in the State and national levels will be honoured by the association.
Such students should also apply with appropriate proofs to the association office within August 20, Mr Joyappa informed.
He said the candidates who needed seats in the hostel managed by the Sangha at Jayalakshmipuram in Mysore should submit their applications within June 30 to the association’s office in Mysore.
Sangha Secretary Kodi Chandrashekhar, Assistant Secretary Ambekal Naveen Kushalappa and Manager Vasanth Kumar were present in the press meet.
