The movement of vehicles were disrupted for nearly eight hours when a lorry turned turtle after hitting a divider in the wee hours of Wednesday on NH 48 at Baipass road in Uppinangady. The heavy loaded lorry which was bound to Puttur from Kottigehara.

As all the wooden logs on the lorry fell on the road, the traffic was disrupted till afternoon. However, the road was cleared with the help of a crane.

Though police managed to send the vehicles on one side, vehicle owners had a tough time. Lorry driver and cleaner had a miraculous escape in the mishap. A case has been registered.
