World music day on radio

Radio Indigo is celebrating World music Day on June 21 and as a part of this, the station is conducting a contest called the “Gift of music”.  The contest is run to promote music and gift music to people who have really wanted to learn music but haven’t gotten around in doing so. Radio Indigo with William Joseph International Academy for Performing Arts will give away 10 winners three-month free music lessons from the Academy. The “Gift Of Music” contest will be run on Big Breakfast, Day Trippin’, Indigo Jukebox, Cruise Control and Big Couch on June 21. The winners on Big Breakfast, Indigo Jukebox and Cruise Control will win free Guitar lessons while Day Trippin’ and Big Couch winners get free Violin and Piano lessons respectively.


Environmental initiative
Vakil Housing Development Corporation (VHDC), as part of its concern for environment propses to address two critical environmental issue that Bangalore is facing - water Crisis and waste management. A month long campaign starting this June is meant to sensitise the people.
The campaign conducted in collaboration with Concern India Foundation a non-profitable trust, BBMP and Karnataka State Pollution Control Board will be executed in two phases, the awareness phase and the solution phase. Employees in various corporate houses, schools and residents will be targeted.
Hoardings across the city, posters, stickers, radio messages will create awareness among the masses , there will be workshops by experts on water conservation and waste management. The campaign will end with an inter-school meet at Lalbagh where senior children across the state will prepare simple innovative models on rainwater harvesting on the theme Bangalore 2016.
