Karnataka Postal Circle will be holding the 10th state-level Karnataka Philatelic Exhibitoin ‘Karnapex-227’ from August 10 to 12 at Jnana Jyothi Aditorium, Central College Campus, Bangalore.
The state-level philatelic exhibition is held once in four years.
The exhibition was last held at Dharwad in 2003. The exhibits of invitee class and competition class will be displayed. Exhibits from philatelists of international repute and the upcoming philatelists will be on display.
Around 450 frames of stamps including rare collections of eminent philatelists are expected to be displayed during the three day exhibition.
During this festival, special covers with different themes will be released. Prize distributioin ceremony will be held on August 12.
An official press release by the Postal Department said prospectus and entry forms for philatelists who want to particiate in the exhibition will be made available shortly at the head post offices across the state.
