Dak Adalat at Bangalore South on June 25
A dak adalat will be held on Monday, June 25 at 12 noon in the office of the senior suprintendent of post offices at 11th Main, Jayanagar T Block, 2nd Floor, Head Post Office building, Bangalore, 41. Grievances or complaints if any, pertaining to Bangalore (South) division may be sent to Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, for discussionj before the adalat on or before 24.

Office-bearers of disabled action panel appointed
Mr T Seetaram and Prashant Kumar have been appointed as the president and general secretary of the Bangalore district unit of Karnataka Disabled Action Committee.

Extension of train services by SWR
The South Western Railway (SWR), is extending and introducing additional services of Bangalore City-Bangarapet Memu services to Kuppam in order to facilitate commuters of Bangarapet and Kuppam.

Train No 529 Bangarapet-Bangalore City and Train No 534 Krishnarajapuram-Bangarapet Passenger services will be extended to Kuppam from June 22.The new services of Train No BK 1 between Bangarapet and Kuppam and Train No KB 1 between Kuppam and Bangarapet will also come into effect from June 22.

Train No 529 will leave Bangarapet at 7.30 hrs, instead of 7.00 hrs and reach Bangalore City at 9.30 hrs instead of 9.10 hrs. This revised timings of train will also meet demand of Bangarapet passengers. rain No 530 will now leave Bangalore City at 9.50 hrs instead of 9.10 hrs and reach Bangarapet at 11.30 hrs instead of 10.45 hrs.

No power supply tomorrow
There will be no power supply on Saturday,  from 10 am to 11 pm as Bescom is carrying out urgent maintenance works in Hoodi Pottery Road Station.

The areas to be affected are: Lazar Road, Lazar Layout, Cookson Road, Davis Road, Pottery Road and Town, D’Costa Layout, Wheeler Road, Vivekananda Nagar, B Nagar, Banaswadi Main Road, Hutchins Road, Jeevanahalli, Cooke Town, Ashoka Road, HM Road, Gajendra Nagar, LR Pura, Sathyanagar, Oil MIll Road, Vivani Road, Milton Street, High Street, MEG Colony, Old and New Byappanahalli, Gospel Street, Tannery Road, Pillanna Stage 1,2,and 3, KG Halli, Nagavarapalya, Karamchandra Layout, Krishnappa Layout, Janakiram Layout, KSFC Layout, CK Garden, Parts of Kamanahalli Main Road, Sait Palya, Kariyanapalya, Frazer Town, Doddigunte, Cox Town, Wheeler Road, MM Road, Moore Road, Williams Town, Bhyadarahalli, Haines Road, Spencer Road, Sindhi Colony, SK Garden, ITI Layout, Chinnappa Garden, Nandidurga Road, Parts of Benson Town, Osborne Road,St John’s Road, Lakeside Medical Hospital, Annaswamy Mudaliar Road, Kodandarama Layout, Asharkhan Street, Tank Road, Rukmini Colony and surrounding areas.

FKCCI award for PV reporter 
The inaugural Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FKCCI) Journalism Award 2006-07 was conferred to Mr Subhash Hugar, senior reporter with Prajavani.

Mr Hugar was conferred the award by Home Minister MP Prakash on Thursday for his reports on economic issues in the state and the country. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000.
