QUALITY CURRICULUM
'Take steps to include Tulu, Beary language'
DH News service, Mangalore:

The Karnataka Konkani Sahithya Academy has urged the government to include Tulu and Beary language in the school curriculum as it was done in the case of Konkani language, here on Wednesday.

Speaking at a function organised by Talent Research Foundation to release a information booklet ‘Sangathi’, Academy President Eric Ozario said the government has permitted to include Konkani as a third optional language and this facility should be extended to Tulu and Beary language as well.

He justified that every individual has the right to learn and protect his language. “Beary community is one of the strongest communities,” he added.

Karavali Groups of Colleges President S Ganesh Rao called upon Muslim community people to shed their inferior attitude and to come forward to make use of educational opportunities available today. He was speaking after releasing ‘Sangathi’.

Lack of education is the root cause for the problems in the country. “Educated class exploit uneducated and globalisation has resulted in privatisation of educational institutions,” he added.

Mr Rao said Muslims are back at education because of some religious and political reasons and they should accept the change without blaming the government and other community for their present condition. Employment based coureses should be introduced in rural areas, he opined.

Parents play a more influential role and they should guide their children to have a good aim in their life. Children  should not be put under pressure to obtain good marks, opined Bhandari Foundation President Manjunath Bhandari.

Talent Research Foundation President Abdul Rauf Putthige presided over the progrramme while Police Officer G A Bava was present.
