The Karnataka High Court has stayed the criminal proceedings initiated against former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake and others.
Justice V Jagannathan passed the interim order, on Wednesday following their petition seeking to quash the proceedings initiated upon a complaint by Nagarjuna Power Corporation Limited (NPCL).
The petitioners are accused of pulling down a compound of NPC premises on August 20, 2005 and an FIR in this regard was filed on June 27 last year. Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Yellur was earlier dealing with the case.
