Tribal Animals on Animal Planet
Mumbai:

What is the strange connection that unites us to animals?   For centuries, man and animals have had a unique bond.
The resemblance between the man and monkey is striking.
The animal's facial expressions, attitudes and obvious complicity with its own kind are totally reminiscent of human behaviour.
Wild voyage
Animal Planet takes viewers on a wild voyage to provide  an in-depth look at some of the vivid species through its three-part novel series Tribal Animals.
On Sunday, 24 June at 7 pm the episode "Apes" will be aired.
The episode will be repeated next day at 6 pm.
At Hindu temples in Bali, the monkey dance symbolises the epic victory of Hanuman, the monkey God, a kind and brave divinity, whose exploits are recounted in the Ramayana.
Tribal Animals follows unique species which have always fascinated mankind for ages.
Two faces
This programme examines why the monkey has always had two totally different faces.  Feared and mistrusted in the occidental world, they can be deified and worshipped in the Orient.
Gods or demons, sometimes half human creatures, their mystery is at the very roots of our beliefs.
