The Indian Cricket League (ICL) is all set to cash in on some big Kiwi stars after the New Zealand Cricket Players Association (NZCPA) gave green signal to their cricketers willing to play in the competition, provided they do not cut across their contractual obligations with the national body.
Although no currently contracted Kiwi player has been approached by the organisers, NZCPA manager Heather Mills said all the twenty players who will be on New Zealand Cricket (NZC) contracts when the league kick starts, would be entitled to play in the private competition, provided they seek a clearance from the national board.
‘’Players would need to seek a clearance, and that clearance cannot be unreasonably withheld,’’ Mills was quoted as saying.
