Zilla Panchayat General Standing Committee which supervised the civil works undertaken by the 12th Financial Project has expressed its dissatisfaction over the works undertaken at the Gram panchayat limits.
The various developmental works undertaken at a cost of 63.33 lakh have satisfied to a certain extent, said member of Zilla Panchayat and General Standing committee Naganal Somanna at a press meet in the city guest house. General standing committee president and ZP deputy president Krishnamma was present at the press meet. He also said that there are already 53 hoouses built for the poor in Ketaganahalli gram panchayat limits. The rest 7 houses are yet to complete and the officials are directed to complete them as soon as possible, he said.
He also said that he would report to the government about the decrease in the number of students at the government primary school at Varadapur. Though there were 25 students in the records, there were only 20 students at the time of visit and added to that there are only two teachers. He said that the teachers have failed to stop students from admitting to private schools.
He also expressed his dissatisfaction over not beginning the civil works of of toilets at Mudaguli government primary school. The school building is very much deteriorated and nothing has been done to repair the building, he said.
Member of general standing committee Ravi Kumar, Taluk CEO Dr Venkataswamy, District assistant executive engineer Ramakrishnappa and others were present.
