Rains have hit different parts of Orissa as the south-west monsoon further advanced into the state.
MET office sources on Sunday said that heavy rains could occur at a few places with heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over the next 24 hours.
It also said rain or thundershower was likely at most places till Monday morning. According to revenue control room sources, the port township of Paradip experienced the highest rainfall of 6 cm.
Cuttack, Jaleswar and Alipingal had received 4 cm of rainfall, while Narasinghpur, Kendrapara, Sambalpur, Panposh and Tangi recorded 3 cm of rains.
Balasore, Akhuapada, Balimundali, Thakurmunda, Berhampur, Kashinagar, Bhanjanagar, Chhatrapur, Gopalpur, Purushottampur and Puri recorded 2 cm of rain during the period.
The capital city received 1.3 cm rainfall till Sunday morning, the sources said.
There were, however, no reports of any rain-related casualty or damage anywhere, they said.
