NIIT, Intel to train developers
India’s top computer education firm, NIIT Ltd, said, on Tuesday, it would be partnering Intel Corp to train software developers around the globe how to programme multi-core processors.
A multi-core processor can run multiple applications from a single chip, enhancing performance and cutting power usage.
Their use is likely to surge with increasing demand for greater computing power and the use of rich-media applications. NIIT said it would be responsible for the development and deployment of the training program, while Intel would provide the technology.
NIIT, however, did not indicate how it saw the market for the new curriculum.
Exelvia offer for 20% Esab stake
Exelvia Group India BV along with Charter Plc and Esab Holdings on Tuesday announced an open offer for acquiring a 20 per cent stake in Esab India for Rs 131crore.
The acquirers are making a voluntary offer to the shareholders of Esab India to purchase up to 3,078,604 fully paid up equity shares of Rs 10 each at Rs 426 per share, payable in cash and subject to terms & conditions. The offer opens on August 17 and closes September 5.
Easun acquires new business
Easun Reyrolle, a leading power management company, announced on Tuesday it is acquiring the business of Protection Relays & Power system Disturbance Recorders Division of Nxtphase T&D Corporation, Canada, including all related assets and liabilities.
The new company has its operations in Winnipeg, Canada with key customers and market presence in North America, South America, Europe, Australia, and Asian countries.
