The nations conscience is divided between whether to retain incumbent President Abdul Kalam or anoint a woman president in the form of Pratibha Patil. Will the UPA candidate Ms Patil make a better constitutional head than Mr Kalam? Certainly not, feel a majority of Deccan Herald readers.
