Now highlight your hair
Vinamra Santhosh

Here’s some good news for those bored with their current hairstyle! You can sport one of the latest trends in hairstyle recommended by hair expert Najeeb Rehman.

Najeeb, who has been in the hairstyling industry for 12 years, displayed some of the latest hair trends at Schwarzkopf Professional’s launch of their latest edition of Essential Looks — the diverse collection.
The demonstration, held recently, was an interactive session with Rehman answering several questions from people present.

The style, according to Najeeb, is born in Germany and London and they (his team) give the look a more Indianised style to suit this market. “There is a good blend of long and short cuts for this spring-summer collection.”
Diverse collection
The diverse collection includes four clear styles — Futurism, The dancer, Siren and 2 Tone. Futurism is all about shimmer and according to Najeeb, this style has extremely short cuts.
The colours include inky black, silvery blondes and resonant reds that are shot through with bright shades.
The Dancer is a feminine look with layered cuts with tones of apricot, caramel, biscuit and soft muted tobacco brown.
The Siren has panels of hair soaked in colours of the darkest blackberry, brightest cherry or pale strawberry ice while 2 Tone features clean lines and loose textures, clear colour with icy overtones or the monochrome tint with a shattered outline.
Hair products
The event also relaunched the Osis range of hair products — Osis Essentials and Osis Creative that stylists can incorporate to create unique hairstyles. When asked about how easy or difficult it is to maintain these elaborate hair styles, Najeeb says that customers will be given tips on how to maintain the style.
While streaks are out, the colours of this season, according to Najeeb are browns, aubern, red, violets, beige, blonde and ash blonde. The winter collection will be out in August and will feature trends from Germany.
