The global communications project, which was launched in 2002, has since undertaken projects for General Electric Co., Kingdom of Swaziland, Organisation of African Unity (OAU), and Federal Republic of Germany. This year's project was undertaken for Cognis Deutchland GmbH, one of the largest speciality chemical companies in the world, states a release from Commits.
New batch of students
The ICFAI Business School (IBS) welcomed its new batch of students with a ceremony filled with warmth, humour, thoughtfulness and cultural activities. The morning session began with ice breakers giving freshers a platform to showcase their talents, states a release.
After the informal gathering, Director, IBS, Prof T R Venkatesh provided a bird’s eye view of the curriculum, faculty and the summer internship programmes (SIP) that students will go through over a period of two years. He urged them to shape their dreams and ambitions into reality. Dean, IBS, Prof Lata Chakravarthy followed this up with a pep talk on making their study a meaningful one using the 3H theory: “Listen to what your ‘heart’ says, think with your ‘head’ and give back to society with your ‘hand’.”
Chief guests KTwo Technologies CEO Anant Koppar and Janaagraha founder Ramesh Ramanathan spoke to the students. Koppar stressed on the need for knowledge sharing and being effective as a team player. Ramanathan thrilled the audience with his anecdotes and said while students can’t be architects of their destiny, they can be the artisans of the same and the ideal platform to start would be the institution which serves as a catalyst to their aspirations.
