As many as 26.14 acres of government land was auctioned in Anekal taluk (Bangalore South) and Bangalore North on Thursday.
In Attibele hobli in Anekal taluk, 2.5 guntas of land was sold to Mr Anu Reddy for Rs 10 lakh. While the government had fixed a rate of Rs 2 lakh per acre, the sale yielded 800 per cent more. In the same hobli, Mr Bhoopathi bought Rs 1.01 crore for one acre. The market rate per acre was Rs 20 lakh. Mr Anu Reddy also bought 1.29 acres of land for Rs 75 lakh and two acres for Rs 1.75 crore in separate auctions.
In Yelahanka (Bangalore North), 30 guntas of land at Dodda Betta Halli was bought by Ramdeep Builders for Rs 2.65 crore, while the market rate per acre stood at Rs 60 lakh.
In Vedara Halli, Hill Land Developers bought 4.17 acre of land for Rs 5.77 crore.
In Bytarayanapura, Prabhakar Reddy purchased bid 1.17 acre of land for Rs 1.01 crore, while Ramdeep Builders bought 32 guntas for Rs 2.75 crore.
