Chip Whip D N Jeevaraj took Taluk Panchayat EO to task for his negligence in registering the names of the beneficiaries for the distribution of 1,320 Ashraya houses in 22 gram panchayats.
Speaking at the KDP meeting, he said “the negligence of the officials can not be tolerated. Negligence of the officials have denied facilities to th poor.”
ZP member H M Sathish said “Kesave Gram Panchayat Secretary Nagaraj has made two bills for a single work. For which Mr Jeevaraj said that we can not pardon the Secretary. If he fails to answer by evening, he will be suspended.
Shortage of medicines in the health centres were also discussed at the meeting.
Mr Jeevaraj urged the PWD and police to conduct joint operation for the banning of plying of overloaded lorries. District administration will be urged to ban the transportation of wooden logs during the rainy season.
Taluk Panchayat President Nagarathnamma, ZP Members S N Ramaswamy among others were present.
