MLA A Papareddy said that cultural festivals like ‘Kaar Hunnime’ increases self confidence among farmers and depicts our rich culture and heritage. India, being one of the agriculture oriented countries requires celebration of these festivals.
He was speaking after performing pooja to bullocks, on the occasion of three-day monsoon cultural fest 'Raichur Habba', held under the aegis of Munnur Kaapu samaj, on Friday, here at Rajendra Gunj APMC Yard.
He said the disappointment of farmers is eased by celebrating these festivals, which bring hopes and strength in them. APMC chairman Yuvarajappa Sahukar,Raichur Development Authority Chairman Kadgol Aanjaneya and others were present on the occasion.
