Dakshina Kannada district unit of National Students Union of India (NSUI) has called for all college bundh on June 30, in protest against the hike in the price of bus pass for the students.
According to a press release, the bus pass prices were hiked by the private buses after the hike in petrol and diesel prices.
In spite of reduction in petrol and diesel prices, private bus operators have not reduced the bus pass price. The government should withdraw the hike in KSRTC bus pass price as well. The students will organise a rasta-rokho at Jyothi circle at 10.30 am.
