N Guruprasad from Kolar Gold Fields has topped in the medical, while Sagar G V from Mysore has bagged the first rank in the engineering stream in the Under-Graduate Entrance Test (UGET) conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka this year.
Comed-K on Saturday released the list of those who bagged the top 10 ranks in both streams, two days ahead of the actual announcement of results scheduled for June 4. While Guruprasad scored 163 out of 180 marks, Sagar scored 167 out of 180 marks.
Of the top 20 in both streams, six students are from Bangalore (three in each stream), four are non-Karnataka candidates -- from Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan (Jaipur) and Uttar Pradesh -- and the rest from various districts of Karnataka. Comed-K will upload the rank list on its website -- www.comedk.org -- on June 4 evening.
Counselling
Besides, Comed-K has announced the time-table for centralised counselling, which will begin from June 21 at NMKRV College, Jayanagar.
The first round of counselling will be for medical and dental courses, between June 21 and 24, followed by architecture and engineering. The counselling will go on till July 22, according to a consortium release.
