Plant a sapling
ITC Foods launched ‘Sunfeast Hara Banao’, a nationwide campaign, created a Guinness Record in 2005 by planting record-breaking 3,00,587 saplings, across 18 villages in the Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh in a record time of 20 minutes.
This year the Sunfeast Hara Banao campaign aims to sensitize a large group of young people on climate change and global warming and motivate them towards responsible action. For this Sunfeast has tied-up with TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute), a not for profit research institute, which over the years has been doing research on energy, environment and other sustainability related issues. The campaign would be teaching the children about the causes, impacts and solutions for Climate Change. The teachers would be equipped with knowledge, interesting facts and tips about the topics and would then discuss the same with their students. Children would be encouraged to participate in various interactive activities and projects on Climate Change.
To participate SMS “Sunfeast” to 6263 and for every SMS received Sunfeast Hara Banao would plant a sapling.
