BUZZ IN BANGALORE

Sale  of blockprinted sarees
Devaki’s, the place for customised blockprinting, is having its monsoon sale of blockprinted sarees, with a discount of 10 – 50 per cent on select items. Shanthi and Madhavi, a mother-daughter team, have been running a blockprinting workshop for the last 10 years. “We do wholesale as well as retail work. We also re-design old sarees and make quilts on order,” says Madhavi. The exclusive collection combines blockprinting with aari work, freestyle hand embroidery and mirrorwork along with tie and dye to get special effects. The exhibition will be held from June 4 –6, at #12-A, Ground Floor, Safina Plaza. For details call: 9342527202 in Bangalore or 9884600784 in Chennai.
