Murphy Town lift football title
MLT Murphy Town beat Camp Boys Austin Town 2-1 to clinch the Dr Ambedkar nine-a-side football tournament on Sunday. Sanath and Harish scored for the winners, while Uday scored a consolation goal for the Camp Boys.
Subramanyam is ACUK chief Ravi Subramanyam has been elected as the president of the Association of Cricket Umpires of Karnataka in the elections held to the working committee on Sunday.

Other office-bearers: S Muralidhara (vice-president), M Sreenivasa Murthy (secretary), Vivekananda Kini (joint secretary), N R S Prabhu (treasurer), Chandrasekhar P, Pradhan Kumar Urs R V, Raghotham B S, Vishwas M Kale (members).

State Sub-junior, Junior aquatics
Basavanagudi Aquatic Club swimmers are expected to dominate the three-day State Sub-junior and Junior aquatic championships beginning at the PM Swimming Centre on Monday. KC Reddy Swim Centre and the hosts will also field teams.

Sandeep N A, Aaron D’Souza, Kshipra Mahajan, Pooja Alva, Madhavi Giri and Ashwin Menon are among the top swimmers expected to participate in the meet.

The championships are important since the State team for the Sub-junior and Junior Nationals in Goa and Bhopal respectively will be picked during this meet.

In addition to swimming, diving and water polo events will be conducted.

BAC were the overall champions in the previous edition of the event.
