Galloping consumption of power in City
One Mysore being added to Bruhat Blore every year!  
According to Bangalore Electricity Supply Company officials, every year nearly two lakh consumers are added to the City, which at present has a total of 27.7 lakh consumers.

The Archaeological Survey of India has decided to check noise pollution in the world-famous Gol Gumbaz at Bijapur to preserve the acoustic strength of its Whispering Gallery.
Govts horticulture varsity  
According to agriculture and horticulture experts, government should focus on setting up new horticulture colleges, strengthen the infrastructure in existing agriculture universities for undertaking research activities in horticulture , to start horticulture research institutes and to give more emphasis to courses on post-harvest technology in horticulture.
