Ullal by-polls: Counting today

The fate of five candidates who had contested for the Ullal by-election will be known on July 5, the counting day. The counting will begin at 8 am and will be completed by noon.

   The fate of five candidates who had contested for the Ullal by-election will be known on July 5, the counting day. The counting will begin at 8 am and will be completed by noon. The counting will take pace at KPT. All the Electronic Voting Machines have been kept in the KPT.
   Speaking to Deccan Herald, Deputy Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao informed that all the arrangements have been made for the counting. Mobile phones, cigarettes, lighter, beeda and any battery used electronic gadget has been banned in the counting centre. It has also been intimated to the candidates. 
   Overcrowding in and surroundings of the KPT is prohibited. Public will not be allowed inside the KPT. Only those who possess pass will be allowed inside the KPT, he said.
   Mr Rao said as many as 100 officials are involved in the counting process. As many as 10 tables have been placed for the counting. Every table will have a supervisor, an assistant and a D group staff.    The counting centre will be thoroughly checked before the commencement of counting process to avoid any malpractices, he added.
   LCD screen will be displayed outside the KPT for the public to view the results.
