MANGALORE AT A GLANCE

Art exhibition from June 7
   “Mood ‘N’ Expression”, a solo painting exhibition by Mr G Kandan will be held at Prasad Art Gallery, Ballalbagh in Mangalore from June 7 to 12. Informing this at a press meet here on Monday, artist Harish Marne said, Alva’s Education Foundation Chairman Dr M Mohan Alva would inaugurate the exhibition at 5.30 pm on June 7, while Anupama S Shetty of Gurukula Public School, Koteshwar, Ladies Club President Naina Fernandez and Mahalasa School of Arts faculty N S Pattar will be present, he stated. Artists Ananda Bedrala, Dinesh Holla and Harish Kodialbail were present.

Kalasangama to Kuwait
   Kalasangama, a Tulu drama troupe led by playwright and director Vijaykumar Kodialbail, will stage a few popular Tulu dramas at Kuwait from June 7. Mr Kodialbail informed this at a press meet here on Monday. The troupe will stage the 95th show of ‘Madime’ at Masra Havli auditorium on June 7. Another humour play ‘Oriyardori Asal’ will also be performed there in June 8. ‘Madime’ will also be staged at Indian School Auditorium in Dubai on October 19. A new piece of humour ‘Kutumba’ will be staged ta the Town Hall in Mangalore on July 15, he stated. The ‘Oriyardori Asal’ will soon appear on silver screen, he added.
