By A Staff Reporter
Bangalore, June 4.
Chief Minister Gundu Rao agreed here today to revise the present Government Order on the Gokak Committee report in an effort towards meeting the demand of the Kannada agitators for the implementation of the report in toto.
This major change in the Government stand is a sequel to the marathon 10-hour discussion Mr Rao had with the members of the Action Committee spearheading the agitation and men of letters, artistes and educationists today.
But the government will work out the details of revising the Government Order to ensure primacy to Kannada as demanded by the people after eliciting the views of the State Legislature. The Government will place the suggestions emerged at todays discussions before the House.
