Pakistan team’s inability to cope with ‘bouncy’ pitches outside the sub-continent has prompted the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to have 90 such pitches across the country by October.
The aim of the project is to help batsmen adapt on fast and bouncy tracks on foreign tours.
‘’One of the key problems we have identified in our team is batsmen’s inability to give their best on bouncy surfaces in places like South Africa, Australia or even England,’’ said Shafqat Hussain Naghmi, PCB’s chief operating officer.
A PCB official informed the process to prepare these sporting wickets is already underway and would be completed within the next four months.
