Asian men romp home
After the Asian bowlers did a reasonably good job by restricting the Africans for 109 for eight in the stipulated 20 overs, the batsmen complemented them in fine style.
Facile victory for Asian eves
Despite struggling at 47 for six halfway through the ultra-abridged match, the Asian XI put up a competitive 105 and then bowled the Africans out for a niggardly 45 to win the fifth ever women's Twenty20 international by 60 runs.
Henin trounces clumsy Serena
Henin's 6-4 6-3 quarterfinal victory means she has now won 31 consecutive sets at the claycourt slam. More importantly she is two wins away from equalling the hat-trick of titles achieved by Monica Seles in 1992.
Bhupathi-Stepanek in semis
Bhupathi and Stepanek knocked out the second seeds Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Jonas Bjorkman of Sweden 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 (8-6) in the quarterfinals.
