Celebrity Chef and gourmet author, Karen Anand recently launched a series of ‘Simple Cooking’ books titled ‘Simple cooking for the single person’, ‘Simple Cooking for the desperate housewife’ and ‘Simple cooking for the sweet tooth’ at the Oberoi. ‘Simple Cooking’ is in association with Westland Publishing, a distribution house in the South that makes its first foray into original publishing with this series. Karen Anand, apart from being a celebrity chef is also a food consultant, writer and an entrepreneur.
“I am looking forward to experiment with the recipes though I don’t otherwise cook. I think I will surely start now that the task is made simpler by Karen,” says Huvida Marshall, GM, Oberoi.
The books come in a handy size that would help meet the contemporary needs and choices of food enthusiasts. It’s a perfect pick for those who love eating but have no time to cook. The recipies are simple and easy to understand and the ingredients are given in both measurements — in cups as well as in grams. They are given in detail along with guiding tips with reasons why the recipe should be cooked in the certain manner.
At the end of a few recipies, all the necessary kitchen utensils are mentioned.
This series promises to get its users interested in this art. Apart from the three launched, another nine titles in the series are due to be published in the coming months.
