A complete movie experience
eZone has organised the ‘eZone Movie Dhamaka’, a festival dedicated to celebration of the movie experience wherein the store will showcase on their home theatres and LCD/plasma televisions, movies to recreate the feel of a theatre. The latest movies will be screened everyday at the demo room for consumers to get a feel of the electronic systems and experience an entire theatre setting.
As part of this festival, the store has lined up several limited time offers and discounts for consumers on their home theatres, LCD systems, among others. Any purchase on electronic goods that is a part of the festival will entitle the customer a gift set of DVDs. Three shows will be organised everyday — 12 pm will have cartoon for kids; 3 pm will include special effect movies and 6 pm will have action movies. The festival, organised at all their stores in the City, is on till June 10.

Sarees redefined
Vijayalakshmi Silks, through their latest collection, present a redesigned saree to suit the modern or corporate woman. The corporate collection, comprising primarily of light fabrics such as crepe, georgette and chiffon is available in shades of white, black and lighter hues and the variety of patterns include stripes, polka dots and random geometric shapes. Some of the sarees have an interesting twist as they come in reds, greens and blues. Visit the stores on MG Road and Ashoka Pillar Road.

Bridal collection
Vanathill Gold Star has launched its latest collection featuring designs for the upcoming wedding season. The showroom in Indiranagar will display a wide range of jewellery, hallmarked by the Bureau of Indian Standards, crafted by artisans from across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Maharashtra and a few northern states. The collection includes contemporary and traditional collections, light weight jewellery, corporate trendy collections as well as a collection for everyday use. A release quotes Sanjay Kumar, the manager (retail operations) as saying, “Since Bangalore is a cosmopolitan city, we get customers from different cultural and traditional backgrounds and our designs are a result of this factor.” VGS is planning on opening two more showrooms in the City.

Abharan, the jewellery showroom, is offering for their patrons an insurance scheme for all the gold jewellery purchased at its outlets. “This one year comprehensive insurance scheme, offered for all purchases worth Rs 10,000 and above, covers all kinds of jewellery loss and is valid across the globe,” says Pratap Kamath, CEO, Abharan Jewellers, according to a press release. Apart from gold jewellery the scheme will also cover precious diamond jewellery sets. “If your jewellery is accidentally damaged we will repair or replace it with the same item. If it’s not available, we will offer you a replacement up to the same value,” adds Pratap.

For Pirates’ fans
HomeStop, on Magrath Road, and the home sections of Shoppers’ Stop on Bannerghatta Road is organising  Pirates of the Caribbean Week. During this week kids can participate in various theme based competitions. These competitions include ‘Paint Jack Sparrow’ and a fancy dress competition with the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ theme.  The prizes for the event include movie tickets for ‘Pirates of the Caribbean – At World’s End’ or DVDs of the earlier films of the series.
