Chandi-garh's Rahul Bakshi leapfrogged into an eight stroke lead after a second round of level par 72 in Category A of the Sunfeast Southern India Junior and Sub-junior Golf Championship at the Coimbatore Golf Club here on Wednesday. Bakshi's tournament tally now stands at 144.
Delhi's Rashid Khan shot a two-over 74 to join Jaipur's Amanjyot Singh in second place at eight-over 152. Amanjyot, who was one stroke behind the leader in the first round, shot a seven-over 79 on the day.
In category B, Kapurthala's Ashbeer Saini shot a two-over 74 to jump into lead with an aggregate of 152. Overnight co-leader Rommel Mazumdar only managed a round of six-over 76 to slip to second place at 153. Bangalore boy Chikkarangappa (74) stands a further stroke behind in third place at 154.
