Last day extended
The last date for remitting examination fees to second year PU supplementary examination of July 2007 has been extended till 5 pm on June 8. The students are informed to pay the examination fees within this date in the colleges concerned. The colleges should submit the filled MCA and challan to the deputy director of pre-university education on June 9. The last date will not the extended at any cost, the release said.

Opposition to PGCET
Bangalore University College Teachers’ Association has urged the govt to reconsider its decision of conducting CET for admission to 11 post-graduate courses. In a release, BUCTA President K G Lokesh said the move would defeat the very purpose of establishing universities in different parts of the State in order to cater to the higher educational needs of the students of respective regions. “The move would cause inconvenience to economically backward students,” he said.
