Three constables have been suspended in connection with the escape of an under-trial in the city recently. A chain snatcher, Yuvaraj (David), who was arrested by the police on charges of snatching a Mangalsutra in Sirsi, was taking treatment for ill-health in the district hospital here.
   But he gave police the slip on last Monday.
   Taking the incident seriously, the district police suspended head constable Govindraj V Naik, constables Rohidas Naik and Prashant Naik who were on duty when the under-trial escaped.
