Cong victory beginning of fall of govt
Mangalore, DHNS:

The victory of the Congress in Ullal by-polls is the beginning of the fall of BJP-JD(S) coalition government, said former minister B Ramanath Rai.
Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, Mr Rai said that there are already dissidents in the coalition government and the same is expected to grow soon. “Though the chief minister himself campaigned for his party candidate, the people of Ullal knew why was he (Mr Natekal) fielded,” Mr Rai said and added that everybody knows that JD(S) is no more a secular party.
Stating that the Congress victory was expected in Ullal, Mr Rai termed the victory as a victory for secularism. To a query, he said the Congress had not distributed money among the voters. Mayor Vijaya Arun, former mayors K Ashraf, Shashidhar Hegde, Congress leaders Ivan D’Souza, Suresh Ballal, M G Hegde and Mamatha D S Gatti were present.
