Tension prevailed at the Aparna theatre here on Friday morning after a section of the audience, irked by defective sound system, started ransacking the movie hall.
   A few movie buffs, who did not get tickets for the morning show, also started throwing stones at the theatre.
   Police rushed to the spot and resorted to a mild lathicharge to disperse the crowd. Police arrested 11 people - Venugopal, Mahesh, Shivappa, Raju, Krishna, Manjunath, Anjanappa, Shiva, Nagaraj, Praveen and Ravi - all aged between 18 and 25. They have been remanded to judicial custody.
   According to the police, all was well when the screening of Ganesh-starrer  Hudugata began at 10.30 am. Within minutes, the sound system developed a technical problem.
   The audience raised slogans and started tearing the seat cushion. Some even broke window panes.
   Normalcy was restored after the management got the sound system repaired. Later, the show continued.
