Justice R Gururajan, former judge of the Karnataka High Court has been appointed as the Chairman of the committee to manage the affairs of the BMS group of institutions. The appointment was made by a Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph and Justice B S Patil.
   The matter came up before the Bench after Justice C Ashwathnarayan Rao had decided to resign from the post citing indifferent health. A committee had been constituted after certain differences had arisen between the trustees of the institutions, which has several engineering and law colleges under its umbrella.
