Techie’s wife ends life
   A woman, who set herself ablaze on Wednesday, died of burns at a hospital in Viveknagar on Friday. Dhanalakshmi (25) and Chandrashekhar, a software engineer, were married for three years and they had a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter. According to the police, Dhanalakshmi was suffering from a psychological disorder. On Wednesday, her mother went to her house. The same evening, she set herself ablaze. Chandrashekhar rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she died.

8 arrested for murder
  
Vijayanagar police arrested six persons in connection with the murder of former rowdy-sheeter R Ganesh (38), a resident of Siddarthnagar, in Cottonpet on Friday. The six are: Chandra (27), Shankar (33), Mani (25), Jaffer (28), Suresh (28) and Ramesh (20). They were remanded to judicial custody. An eight-member gang had hacked Ganesh to death six days ago.

3 held for dowry death
  
Srirampura police arrested three persons on Friday in connection with a dowry death case. The three are: Gajendra, Ganesh and Kalavathi, all residents of Brahmapura. According to the police, Gajendra used to harass his wife Uma Maheshwari (26) for more dowry. On June 6, she set herself ablaze. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she died the next day.
