The GSM cellular subscriber base at the end of February touched 184.67 million, with the addition of 5.9 million users during the month, Cellular Operators’ Association of India said on Monday.

At the end of January this year, total GSM subscriber base was 178.75 million, with an addition of 6.5 million users during the month.

Bharti Airtel added 2.25 million new users and its subscriber base touched 59.67 million.

Vodafone Essar added 1.41 million subscribers to take its user base to 42.55 million while state-run BSNL added 0.824 million users with user base of 34.57 million. Idea Cellular added 918,871 customers and Spice Communications 141,377 users.
